I believe it's close to same that in anywhere else "too high". ;)

Finland has quite high tax rate, but it's not that easy to tell... because the VAT is also added in many products and services (like for example, if I buy a video, there's 22% VAT tax added to the purchase price).

On the other hand - social security is handled pretty well, so if I (for example) need to be on a hospital, the bill will be much smaller than in US for those without insurance.

Depending on your income, the tax can be anything up to 50%... I suppose 1/3 is pretty close.

    Ukraine
Legal: Personal - 15%, Corporate 25%.... in real life you should also pay hight taxes for your workers.... around 50% of salary. So good news noone here pay real taxes and show real salary of their workers :).

There is fixed tax around 40USD per month (so 280USD per year) but overal income should not be more then 500K :) (that is really grate tax rate but right now a goverment cuts it every year because many companies put their financial flow through this tax brakes)

So taxes are low copmaring to Canada. Bad side - you don't get even a penny back from government.... healt care is really bad, education is not free any more, corruption is high.

Andorra has no income tax at all. If you like to ski and you make a lot of money, you should consider relocating.

Many nations do not tax money made overseas, so you can avoid income tax on AdSense revenue entirely. Check out Belize if you like to dive and you would like to keep the money that you're earning online.

Nevada has no State Income Tax, but Nevada Residents still have to pay Federal Income Tax.

    Texas is the same way.

Not true. If you sell property and then use the profits to buy
more property you can put off the paying of taxes on the
    profit.

Also you can deduct interest from your mortgage.

    best regards

Personal income tax in Canada is gradual. Anything from 0% to I believe 46%.

Then we have GST (6%) added to all goods and services and PST (8% in the province I'm in) added to basically everything.

Asking a western citizen about tax may confuse a third world person. In some western countries - or rich or north or whatever - if you earn less than an amount you actually get paid instead of paying - perhaps as a reward of being lazy -.

You pay with one hand and get with both hands. Huge and huge list of benefits are there that sometimes people are not aware of and there are people who are employed to explain to others what and how much they can rip the government.

You have a baby? you get something.
You are old or young? You go to school or college? You are just lazy and don't want to work? You are drug addict? ... all form a queue to get money.

Some helps come in the name of "loan" for example to students with such repayment conditions that shouldn't be called "loan".

I sometimes think these politicians sell their property and give the money out to keep people happy.

Think again...maybe what is SAID and WRITTEN as STate tax is 8% but the discussion here is about ALL TAXES that comes out of your paycheck meaning how much NET you have comparing to the GROSS value (or Brut in Romania).

In Romania Bulgaria Hungary all those taxes are around 45%-55% meaning from a GROSS pay of 1000Euro a month you actually NET in your hands around 450-550Euros.

In USA and Canada is around 30% for comparatives jobs like ours (Me for example I am Automation Engineer PLC Programmer).

For example in USA I was making 6200$ a month GROSS and NET was around 4200$ so this is 66% for me 34% taxes (meaning ALL taxes:Federal, State,Medicare, and something lese I forgot what).

So is not only the taxes in USA and Canada are much lower BUT the actual income for people for teh same type of jobs is higher.

Anyway....regarding Turkey, I am really surprised to be really what you say
it should be more like Romania or Bulgaria, if for nothing else then at least for this simple reason: If the taxes would REALLY be this way a lot of Romanians would have flew there to immigrate and Turkey would have been the heaven of Europe.

    Good news travels Fast!

SO lately Turkey was no heaven FAR FROM IT, and immigration is going.....guess where??;)

Do not be fouled...my friend read what I responded to the Turkeyish guy...same applies to Russia.

They do not understand taxes like we do who actually worked in USA
and americans have a better simpler way to understand taxes.

In Those countries for East Block they have no clue what we are talking about.
