    Hi guys

I checked most of tools got from the result page in Google.
Most of them didnt show accurate or didnt show correct backlink site PR.
Most of them showed their PR is 0.

And again Some shows I have 390 backlinks, some shows only 3.
What the heck is going on?
    Please help

    Hi

This is pretty useful tool, shows numbers of backlinks, shows who are the backlinks and correct pr.

    http://www.rankalert.net/backlink-watch.php

    * Make sure to click go and not just press enter after you insert url ;)

There are no ABSOLUTELY correct and state of the art tool for backlink checker.

One tool will try to get G's data from a datacenter, the other will take from other datacenter. Thus, they will be diff. This is not only for the backlinks, it's also for PR and SERPs.

I once tried to search manually using Google.com and Google's API. Both showed a slightly diff result. Heck, they both are Google's. So, if Google(s) themselves are not displaying correct, how could you expect 3rd party tools to display correct ones?

That's not to mention that G tends to "hide" several results for no clear reason.

BackLinkWatch is quite good, but remember it's not THE correct tools, none is. What you need to do is to compare results from one tool, not comparing results between tools. If so, you will always be "confused".

If more than 1 backlink comes from the same domain, google will show up just one of them, not all links. Will ignore most of them and show just some of them

Yahoo is generally considered the most reliable for checking your backlinks. I have had good experience with Google webmaster tools also.

    link:http://example.com/

just type it in every search engine

Try the Backlinks Master Tool. Checking backlinks can be done manually but you need a huge time-saver, Backlinks Master helps you find who has links to you, whether these links are direct or embedded into javascript and what keywords they have in their anchor text

    Hey there,

If you are using link:websiteURL in the google search engine, you are not going to get many backlinks.

However, if you use the google webmaster tools, you will see a lot more backlinks that google has for your site. However, this is still not a complete list.

Like the other people stated above, there really is not a tool that shows your entire list. Most tools will give you around 2000 backlinks at most.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters
