    Hello there,
    I want to know if there's a host that will allow me to run a linux software that will eat up some memory and processing.
    I am thinking of making a PHP website that will make calls to a linux application and receive response from it to view on my pages. But this software is likely to eat up a lot of resources. I know most hosts have limitations on this.
    So, if anyone knows a host that will allow me to do this, please post here.

    You'd be best off purchasing a VPS or a dedicated server to cater for your needs, as these solutions will allow you to run more resource intensive programs without fear of having your account suspended. Shop around and you should be able to get a good price for a package tailored to your needs (most hosts allow you to customize your purchase prior to settling on a price).

    i think VPS is way too expensive, isnt there any other solution? :)
