What is it with comments spammers?

    I am on blogger and I get a bunch of spam comments from ebook sellers and power this..or whatever ..they come in and leave a comment with a link...most of them do not even have a blog... (end rant)

    Any thoughts?:D

    I think of it as a kind of 'rite of passage', sort of your blog being christened by comment spam.

    I had that problem with some of my early blogs. Blogger has a fix, turn on word verification. This makes people have to type in a funky code to make comments. This eliminated comment spammers all together.

    That's one of the many problems with blogger. This was ultimately the reason I moved to wordpress on my own domain.
