    Hello,
    I started a project called as the SAT project, it has good coding and all (which was done by me). Now I want people to come to it, not visitors but article contributers and diction contributors. How do I convert normal users into article contributors? It's a non-profit website which I started to provide the non technical articles, kind of like a wiki news, blog, info channel.

Do you have any other suggestions?

    I think It's very hard.
    You need good atricle submissions by a lot of users. Very very hard to manage it yourself.

    its insane to get into competition with wikipedia unless you have enough sources to beat up the content which they have.

    even yahoo answers is not as powerful as wiki is.

    Here is what I will do, my college has about a 1000 student volunteer group.. I have talked to them and told them I'll fund them and in return they give me 10 articles a day.. Do the math..

    Will you beat Wikipedia? Definitely not. Firstly, the name - Wikipedia is original and has a nice ring to it - steps and tips is dull and generic. Secondly, you design and layout is bad - it's not the right style for that type of site. Wikipedia is plain and clean - and it works.

    Sorry, but if that's your goal you're dreaming.

    Start low, try getting anywhere first.

    Good luck though, you're going to need it.
