Another solution I found on another forum is through this website:

Basically you select the countries you want to block and it creates a htaccess file which you just need to upload on the server

 

It is definitely still going on though I have noticed a big drop in terms of prices. A decent proxy can usually fetch $100+ or more in the past but now, people are dumping them at less than $50 for a proxy network.

 

but you know some proxy hosts dont allow you to do this
i mean changing the .htaccess file
cause it uses too much Ram
and its not good


i would say NO to country blocking
as todays hosting costs for a proxy site is not that much

before
we used to pay more than $80 to have a VPS or semi dedi hosting
but now we have shared ones and very cheap
so you are just kicking that at least 0.02 adsense ,every clicks coming from those countries

 

In my case though, China compared e.g. to Iran has 20 times less page views yet uses 20% more bandwidth overall.
In other words China has 5% the page views of Iran but uses 20% more bandwidth

Chinese traffic is simply abusive

 

Simple enough. Just block both of them. The clicks from both countries don't really amount to a lot in terms of the value of the bandwidth they are wasting.

 

Iran is not abusing the service I am offering and even if they don't click or their clicks are low-valued, I don't mind them using my proxies.
Put yourself in their position: all reliable news sources are blocked and you can only read the government's propaganda.....Your only way out is a proxy.

 

Have wrestled with this problem myself, I started proxies to make money but the logs are showing that people are using it to by pass the restrictions of oppressive governments.

I also read this BBC news report about how bloggers in Burma are currently using proxy sites to get out news of the violence there and photos of what’s happening:

Unfortunately it works both ways, Paedophiles can use your proxies to ruin the lives of children or people can use them to look at terrorist material. Its up to you to control what happens on your proxies as best you can.

 

last three days I am getting very low CTR please help me I am getting click from US only . what would be ther reason.

 

For me, I feel that blocking Chinese traffic is good enough for me. As for Iran traffic, they don't really use my proxies much so I am not doing anything to block them yet. It depends on how much load the server can handle.

 

Iran traffic is ok for me as they don't use a lot of bandwidth

Does anybody know how to display a box at the bottom of phproxy proxified pages aswell as the top

So i can put cpm ads at the top and bottom

If so please pm me with the code and i will buy it from you for a few $'s

I cant code or anything but i assumed you could copy the code it users for the top but align it to the bottom or something like that

There was a person on here selling a modified version with several tweaks and one was the banner on the bottom aswell but they are banned so i cant buy it from them plus i didnt really want the other tweaks they did

You could probably hack it but it wouldn't work with all sites and you'd have a banner in the middle of the site.

That's what you get for dealing with some unknown host.

As for the 'pump and dump' proxies, I dont agree with it. A proxy is always good. Just need to learn to tap into different sources. My oldest proxy is almost 9 months old, and it's still one of my major money-earners.

 

Everyone is unknown at the beginning. You gain the trust of the community and if your product is good you move along.
The dodgy thing was the "Lifetime" promise. $10 don't even cover costs for a few months let alone a lifetime.
