I say Uk amazon. They basicaly are former colony and they probably know how to convert the price.

Usa second best easy to figure out price. 1 dollar Austraila is 78 cents US. Pretty easy 3/4.

For some reason england makes sense to me maybe i am wrong but i bet that would be best one to use.

Post how it works out i am interested also.

    There's no Amazon Au.

I don't think there enough business for Amazon to consider setting up an Au site.

Probably Aussies buy their goods locally, there's eBay Australia and if I'm not mistaken, abebooks.

    http://danny.oz.au/books/amazon.html

It has a search for amazon.com and amazon.co.uk and links to other Amazon Canada, Germany, France and Japan.
There is also a link on Danny's site to a directory of Australian bookshops:
    http://danny.oz.au/books/shops

No Australian Amazon yet, just Australian Outback Bush! :D

    I personally always use US.

I think Australians are more familiar with .com than .co.uk domain names to.

    I would go for US

The main problem is with dvds. US Amazon.com does not display the region in a convenient place and it is very easy to end buying expensive sets of dvds that won't play. Does this mean we should go to Japan?

i normally go to .com and then to .co.uk if I cannot find it. both work well just a small delay in shipping.

Australians would purchase from Amazon.com (if they couldn't get it locally)

There are plenty of Australian bookstores online -- many would buy from them and save on delivery costs. But buying from aboad is always an option.

If you have Aussie visitors, you can also market magazine subscriptions to them via Acclaim Subscriptions - over 250,000 magazines, journals, newsletters with worldwide delvery and WORLDWIDE AFFILIATE COMMISIONS via one link! See my sig for sign up form

I'm in the Uk, with my boyfriend living in Australia, i tend to buy his books rom amazon uk and have them shipped to him, it wokrs out cheaper somehow. But there are many sites in Australia that sell books new and second hand and dvds tht are just as good as i have on several occasions bought him books from Australian sites and had them sent direct to save time and money
