900 Unique Hits in a month isn't much. I get that within 12-18hrs a day.

mitchandre: A bit of background for you - this is my first website, and it's been up less than 3 months. So, I undestand where you're coming from since I'd imagine you've been doing it for awhile and appreciate your feedback. :)

However, my question still remains. :D

Try placing the ads on all pages, specially on index.php

I think 2 dollars for 900 unique visitors sounds pretty good. So, what was your question then? You only said, "what in the heck am I doing wrong here!?!" Also, I didn't see any adds on the front page of your site. Most visitors don't usually click in depth too much.

In all honesty i visited a few pages and could not find a google ad. I agree with the above poster, you need one on your home page and I think it would fit in great on the left side menu if you blend in the text color.

Thanks for all your input, everyone. :)

Roman: I put it more on the highly viewed pages, but I certainly can put one on the home page and a few more that don't have it already. :D :D :D

Nice design with plenty of white space, so many sites nowadays cannot help but fill every little gap on their pages.
Currently, you have a PSA on your front page, if that doesn't change soon, you could replace it with a tweety image. From what I can see, you only have Google Ads on the next 3 pages and those pages are full of text. I am guessing that your visitors may be by-passing those pages to avoid the reading. Also, you Google Ads are blend into the text, I am not sure if this is a good idea in this case because of my last point. You could try to give them a background and make them stand out from the text and see if it makes any difference.
How are your Chitika ads doing, I like their placements.
I guess all first time webmasters have the same dilemma - design or income. I am not saying they don't go together but it is a decision that we have to make once the site goes live. I am in the same boat having started a site two months ago. Once I can see that there are visitors, I immediately think how can I convert the visits into $$$. Shall I mess with my design and stick one more ad here and there?
I think you know what I mean:)

    Good Luck

900 visitors is nothing when you talk about web traffic.

And your theme sure won't be getting high paying ads

And then... having this sure won't increase your earnings :D

I agree... I haven't gotten my first $100 and certainly don't want to get banned! I appreciate your comment on site design. TY :)

fryman: That was just put up in the last 5 minutes, so I'm not surprised it's not contextual yet. ;)

Thank you for your replies! :)

Nope its not violating. But your shop....got nothing but all chitika ads....

    Anyway,
I felt strange and sadist today. I would like to see a photo of the following appearing on your site.

    - Slyvester the Cat inside a coffin.
    - The tweetybirds surrounding the coffin laughing at the poor cat.

Such picture can draw massive traffic to your site.
