how do we know that pr update is going on.?
there is no software or script that tell us that page rank update is going or finished

 

it is expected in three months of the last PR update. thats why the webmasters are expecting the PR update

 

You will know when the PR update is going on by checking various mutli-dc PR tools. If you are seeing different PR's in different DC's then a PR update is happening

 

In 2005 and 2006 the PR was updated in September, early and late.... Matt Cutts said it will be soon. Take it easy. I think it will be the very last days of September or the first days of October. We are close now, just try to relax...

Ok, I Dugg it to. Not that I think it has a chance in hell of making it to the front page, but because I am interested to see how badly it gets slammed once it gets noticed. No offense, but I think general diggers will tear it apart. Want to see though.

Just sign the petition that i created everyone. I hoped to send it by today. But we need 200 webmasters minimum. It might take another 4 days before we send it off now. Because hardly anyone is signing it.

 

Google will take no notice of a petition signed by people that are making money by bypassing their TOS. (selling links to promote PR is against their TOS).

The only reason they would bring back toolbar PR (not that I think they have stopped it yet), is if people point out why they should keep it.

Telling them it is not fair on people that have made an industry out of contradicting the TOS, is not going to wash.

Telling them that most people will remove the toolbar since the only really useful thing on it is tollbar PR, may work as this is where they get everyone's viewing information.

Maybe you should try this track instead. They will look at this petition and laugh, as it is showing them all those that are desperate for the PR toolbar to be updated, (i.e. those that use it for purposes not intended ) - (and don't bother saying that they made tollbar PR so they should assume that people will use it to manipulate results - it is POSSIBLE to hack into a site and steal sensitive information if you know how, but just because you know how, does not give you a fundamental right.)
