Do Not Work With Kashem!

He hired me to write 24 articles today, had me work for 4 to 5 hours and then contacted me and told me to stop working!

This is unprofessional and ridiculous.
I will be selling the articles to a competitor's website to make a point to the client about this behavior.

No one will pay 7.50 usd for 300 rewritten article.

I told you that I was hiring another write rfor ANOTHER project that I had so that I could concentrate on your DATA RECOVERY ARTICLES.

I have spent all afternoon researching the topic and beginning several of your articles, none are complete. The research process is long....and some articles have 100 words, but none complete.

I will be completing these articles and selling them to another buyer.

In the future, DO NOT ASSUME anything about the way a writer does her business.

It not wise to abuse DP resouces. Rather than answering all posts by the writer I have posted here what i have discussed with the writer. I m not going to reply feeling that it is not good practice . I will post my comment if it is demanded by others

I don't know what you think you're proving by posting the conversation. It says everything I've said. I spent 4/5 hours on research, I've been piecing together articles and none are complete.

I was hiring someone else for another project I got --so I could concentrate on only your work.

Yeah, by posting the conversation, I actually am on jmousseau's side. I have written articles before and they take a painstaking amount of time with research to get a framework up before it can be worked on. I have to say almost 75% of the time spent on doing articles is research alone. I really think that this user should let her finish the work.

Kashem, you are in the wrong. You contracted jmousseau to do a job. On completion if they are not up to standard, then you have a right to reject them.

Your conduct falls well outside professional conduct as would be expected when dealing with freelancers.

You have not give jmousseau a chance to prove herself.

I have been in the marketing PR business for 30 years. Your conduct would have ended up in court in my country. Jmousseau should request you be banned so no other DP member gets messed around.

 

Did you actually get a contract written up? Simply stating that he wants you to do the articles is not enough and would never hold up in court. Also, it seems like English is not Kashem's native tongue so I'm assuming he's not from America. The laws are different everywhere so even if you did have a contract and you did contact your lawyer, who's to say you'll be favoured?

This is how I see it: He wanted articles, you didn't complete any of them, he told you to stop writing the articles, he didn't receive any of the articles, you didn't receive payment. In conclusion, MOVE ON.

He didn't get the articles, you didn't get the money. You both never gained nor lost anything.

But he/she lost time on it, unless she finishes and sells to another buyer. You should never assume anything in deal, ask the seller your questions, if they are not answered, you can pull out.

 

Well jmousseau did lose valuable time and wasted energy because kashem gave her the go ahead to work on the articles, then hours later changed his mind about it. That's not good, and it is worth getting mad over.

 

She has the right to get mad but he told her to stop and she chose to continue and demand payment for something he was no longer interested in.

 

If you worked 5 hours on something and then was told to stop, you would feel the same way I did, other projects were pushed aside and the time will not be compensated.....

wont he pay you at 5 hours of article writers fees? i always thought you guys went on word counts so to be fair he should at least pay you that

 

I'm not giving him anything now, I'll sell them to someone else that is going to pay me more and appreciate me for my work.

I agree he should of paid her for her time. She didn't do anything illegal or something that broke their agreement.

 

His worries were legitimate though.
