Are you a freelancer in Australia or Canada? Tired of freelance bidding sites and competing for cheap clients? Want to find local clients who will pay you local rates? Then check out FreelanceLocalTech.com, a FREE directory of freelance consultants in USA... and we just added Canada and Australia! Freelancers post information about their services in the directory. Clients come to the site and browse or search the directory looking for local talent to fill their business needs. No bidding. No middle-man taking a cut of the project. No faceless clients working for faceless consultants. Want to get started? Just click the link, create a login, then create a freelancer listing. All listings require approval to ensure quality. There's NO CHARGE for this. Once approved, your listing will appear in all cities within 30 miles of your location for all categories of services you offer. BONUS! To help jump-start our directory in these countries, we're giving all Canadian and Australian freelancers with an approved listing an automatic 2-month 60-mile territory upgrade. The larger territory means more clients will see your listing, because it will appear in more cities near you. This offer expires on November 15, 2007. SECOND BONUS! All freelance consultants (from USA, Canada or Australia) who create an approved listing on FreelanceLocalTech and then come back to this thread and post a response listing the company name you used on FLT will get a 1-month 60-mile upgrade. For Canadian and Australian freelancers, that means you will get a 3-month upgrade. This offer expires on October 15, 2007, so go create your listing now!
Sounds great thanks, i might sign up. However... Australia is a big open place, alot of people's next door neighbour live 30 miles away.
Yes, Iowa is somewhat like that (lots of big farms). And much of Canada (there's exactly one city with more than 10,000 people in the entire Yukon Territory). If the postal code you enter is not near at least one city, then the site flags it and recommends that you adjust the postal code in your listing to a location that's closer (or in) a city that is in our list of cities. That way your listing shows up in at least one city in the directory and people in the nearby smaller towns are likely to find you that way pretty easily. And the postal code is only used to place your listing in the directory. It doesn't appear in your listing. Edit: and I got those two listings approved and upgraded to 60 miles until 12/24.
Just a reminder that one of our bonuses is expiring: BONUS! To help jump-start our directory in these countries, we're giving all Canadian and Australian freelancers with an approved listing an automatic 2-month 60-mile territory upgrade. The larger territory means more clients will see your listing, because it will appear in more cities near you. This offer expires on November 15, 2007. And in a fit of SEO-love, we've added this offer for at least a few more months: SECOND BONUS! All freelance consultants (from USA, Canada or Australia) who create an approved listing on FreelanceLocalTech and then add a link back to FLT will get a 2-month 60-mile upgrade for free. For Canadian and Australian freelancers, that means you can get a 4-month upgrade if you register and create the linkback within the next 2 weeks. Final Bonus: Create a new approved listing, then come back here and add a reply to this thread with your company name and I'll tack another month onto your subscription. This offer also expires on Nov 15, 2007. We just passed 400 consultants in the directory and plan to add UK by the end of November. Check out FreelanceLocalTech.com if you haven't looked recently. No projects, no bidding. Just a great directory for freelance consultants to list their services so that local clients can find them.
