    What is Deep Linking?

    Deep linking refers to links pointing to the subpages within your site other than the homepage iself. For example, examplesite.com is the homepage, while examplesite.com/folder/newpage.html is a subpage and linking to it would be considered deep linking.

    How Does Deep Linking Benefit Me?

    1. Deep linking helps optimize your subpages for increases in search engine rankings and thus increased natural traffic. If you focus your linking efforts only on your homepage, you are ultimately neglecting your subpages and could be missing out on tons of free natural traffic.

    2. Deep linking increases PR ranking of your subpages. It's important to note that Google's PageRank does not apply to your website as a whole, but to each individual page.

    3. Deep linking will make sure your subpages are indexed in search engines if they aren't already and will ultimately give more exposure to these inner pages.
