WiFi is not available in all parts of cities. If there is a WiFi Spot available near your place then you can use it to access internet. You'll have to pay the WiFi service provider for this.

Well i missed something. I left India some 2 yrs back. I wish it'd be there at that time. I was in Bangalore and never heard of such thing.

The GPRS speed in my country [bangladesh] is around 2-3kbps which sucks. We still don't have any good wireless connection here.

    :(

Get Reliance if you want complete freedom over network problems.

Get a Wifi Router to get fast access at home.

Get a Airtel Card for getting a cheaper package with Good Quality(USB one, not PCI Express, they are half slow)

Well, Airtel GPRS is the best in my views. As far as Reliance CDMA internet connetion is concerned, the speed is almost same as the Airtel GPRS connection but sometimes airtel goes slow during peak hours but Reliance has the same speed even during peak hours.

dnt talk about that im so pissed with them (vodafone/hutch)

10paise per 10kb of data transfer

that comes to 10,000rs for 1gb transfer

so for 1gb transfer im paying $250 a month
thats ripping like crazy. i hope they improve on their wierd pricing

that speed is damm good i mus say thats what i was thinking on rather then sitting at my place i would go to cyber

    Are you using Sify Broadband?

Did they charge extra 50 rupee from you?

I am using Sify broad band 128kbps package. That cost 510rs and they charge extra 50 rupee so the total package cost is 560 rupee.

you can also try out with BSNL BroadBand HOME 500 plan,
you need to pay Rs.500 monthly rental and you get 2.50gb limit per month and 2 am to 8 am free upload and download.
One of my friend in INDIA uses it and so i got to know from him where as in UK i use Vodafone Net.
Damm fast speed and really cheap and affordable

Thanks for your suggestion Cash4master. As i already mentioned in my first thread as well as title says i am looking for wireless net connection (not cable net). Anyway throughout few searches i think i have to go with Tata Indicom Plus to Serve one but looking more positive feedback for that before go ;)
