There HAS to be more to getting 10,000 uniques per day than just that! Even having "lots of unique content" does not bring the visitors unless they know you exist. How did you promote the site? What else did you do to drive traffic to the site?
This is really big Earning that much amount from Google adsense and on a single blog is really cool. Hats off to your success......
Great to hear this. Wish more success to you! I'd also be interested to hear answers to these questions.
If you have new content on your site make sure you put it in Digg. People love to see knew content there.
I think the early, golden days of Adsense income ruined me for life. I don't have the patience to spend a year building a good content site. I think that is best way to go, though. More power to you, bloggerpreneur!
$200 a day is enormous for just one site, but it seems you worked hard for that, so my hat goes off to you. you deserve it. Thats alot of content. Some are lucky to get that off a network of 10 sites.
Unique content = search engines traffic = new visitors everyday = adsense money returning visitors don't click that much on ads since they get ad blind
Thanks for that insight. You should probably also add + time So, the formula would be: Unique content + time = search engines traffic = new visitors everyday = adsense money My original question also implied: what should one do pro-actively to help achieve such traffic? For example, should one: - submit to search engines? - submit xml sitemaps to search engines? - submit to directories? - submit to Social Bookmarking sites? - solicit link exchanges? - ANYTHING ELSE? I have written some scripts and have some programs that help me with some of these tasks. What, if anything, should one NOT do?
Wow, that's a great acheivment. I look up to people like you hoping one day maybe I will be in your shoes. Good luck for a rich future.
Congrats! As with a lot of people in this thread I would love to know what the site is that generates that kind of AdSense revenue.
I cannot believe that 5 months later this post is still going strong. Here are some of the things that I have done to get this site where it is. 1. Use social bookmark sites like del.icio.us, stumble upon, digg, netscape, etc. I've heard people say that submitting your own posts is lame, however, if you are submitting good, relevant content, it is one of the fastest ways to get your content in front of a lot of readers. 2. I've found most of my success via blogging. If you go the blogging route make sure that you regularly post good content that your visitors are actually interested in. 3. Have a take and don't suck... Don't post crap just for the sake of posting. Have something interesting to say or don't say anything. 4. Encourage community on your sites. If you are doing all the talking chances are not that many people are listening. On each of my sites that make significant income, comments from my readers outnumber my posts by more than 20 to 1. Hope these tips help someone. They definitely work for me...
These are so simple, yet effective ideas - easy to forget. Thanks! I also should remind myself about the #1...
