How Much info in the Info Panel

    I have a forum running on SMF hereand I have the info panel activated down at the bottom.
    I have the 50 most recent topics displayed on the bottom, each with anchor text links, and the board section name to the left of the topic title.
    So there is normally a lot of anchor text at the bottom of the page.
    This seems to be doing my serps a load of good.
    I am ranking for terms like linux security forum at no4 and am no 14 for security forum.
    I am just wondering, if I increase the size of the info panel, will I get an extra boost from the extra anchor text, or do you think it will dilute the power.
    As far as I can figure I am fairly near the sweet spot, but I get the feeling if I go up or down in the amount it will have a fairly large impact on my serps.
    What do you guys think.
    How close am I to optimum.
