What are you doing so people must post on your forum? what is your little secret so you can make another big board ? tell to your self then tell to us here, is it we use same method or there is another new great idea
Hmmm.. good question! I don't really add any features that encourage users to post but I think that users visiting the forums see how much fun we're having and want to join in on the fun as well.
Im adding adsense revenue share to my forum next week. Not sure how well it will work as its not IM related but if people do join adsense and take part i will be able to sell them adsense related products as well.
On the Forum I am creating there are extra benefits for people who are members and that post a lot. For example there is a special Wallpaper Section where for a certain number of posts you can get access to TONS of Wallpapers!

You offer a free directory of free directories to get people to post on your forum? Please, do tell how that works. It's a technique I've not yet heard...
Depending on your niche, if you are making a forum that is webmastering for example. There are allot of these forums established already, so you need to offer something thats differnt from other communitys to get the ball rolling.
Resourceful information is another big keeper - and a way to meet new people and exchange ideas, right?
