phpBay Pro Affiliate Program

As phpBay Pro continues to grow, I've added an affiliate program for those that would like to promote the product and earn revenue.

phpBay Pro is a Wordpress Plugin and API to quickly and easily add eBay auctions to your web site. There is also a special version integrated with an osCommerce template.

The affiliate program covers both software and services purchased through your affiliate link. I've chosen Jrox as the affiliate manager and paid for the owner to integrate it with the store/member management system to ensure it's properly functioning.

Payout is 30%, monthly, via paypal with a low $25 threshold. Generous three month cookies.

Excellent program to add to your signature link here on DP. Write a review on your blog about the product with your affiliate link.

Text links and banner ads are available.

Should be an easy program to convert. It's a very popular product, I spend a lot of time with support and making sure customers are taken care of and the product earns money.

    Signup here.

    Thanks buddy!

You know, that signature spot of yours could probably earn at least $150-$300 a month fairly easily, with an affiliate link there. ;)

Wow, very cool! I'll be signing up soon. :)

I'll write about on my blog too.

By the way, what's the time frame on the 2.0 version? Should we wait until it comes out or do we get a free upgrade if we buy now?

Thanks! I really believe this will be a good converting program.

2.0 is released. Once you buy the software, you receive updates for free.

2.0 has some fantastic new features in it as well.

Bought this a few nights ago, already have a kick ass site ready to roll.

Pretty easy to implement, since I love wordpress so much it's a no brainer.

One feature that'd be nice would be somehow integrating it with Auctionads (to avail of the higher payout ;))

Thanks for your kind comments AWA.

AuctionAds is on my list. I've had several requests for it. I didn't get the connection at first, but a few people took the time to explain it, and there's no doubt it would be a great feature!

phpBay 2.0 is already out, I too just bought it and have already done a good deal with it. The income isn't bad considering the site I've got it on now has very little to no traffic. I'm working on two sites now that will have MUCH more traffic and I've customized phpBay a lot to go with them.

I can't wait till I go live with them.

GTech said he offers banners and text links - either of which or even both could be used on your site!

When you say "30%" payout, does that mean like less than 1/3 of what I'd get theoretically from AuctionAds?

30% payout means that if someone makes a purchase of phpBay through your affiliate link, for $59.00, then you would earn $17.70 as a commission from me.

Already have a few affiliates that have made sales this first week.

    Hope that helps explain.

But don't you only make commissions off of the fees associated with the eBay sale? I guess I'm a little confused.

Can you compare it to AuctionAds? I need to know if it's worth switching.

People that use phpBay Pro make commissions from eBay through CJ or Mediaplex.

    Two separate entities here:

    1) eBay pays commission to those who refer a buyer to an auction and places a winning bid. You also get a $25 signup fee, if someone signs up with a new eBay account through your affiliate link. phpBay Pro is software for eBay affiliates to use, to earn commissions as described above.

    2) My affiliate program is for those who want to resell phpBay Pro. The earnings an affiliate of MY software, are paid by me and not related to any commissions paid by eBay.

I believe phpBay would be a nice addition to Auction Ads.

Here's a screen capture of my September 2007 earnings, using phpBay:

    ahh! ok -- I misunderstood -- thanks
So how does the software's earnings compare to AuctionAds?
Does it basically do straight CJ earnings, but make it easier to set up ads?
And it looks like there isn't a way to do banner ads and/or text link ads?

I don't have Auction Ads yet, to know. I do plan on exploring it soon.

phpBay isn't geared towards ads, like Auction Ads is. It's more about listing keyword rich items from eBay into your site content.

    Take a look here:

    http://www.jeepgarage.com

Here's another one, not quite finished:

    http://www.radarshop.us

So as opposed to an ad, like something to replace adsense, phpBay Pro pulls in a defined number of results from eBay as content. When someone clicks on an item and places the winning bid, you get a commission from eBay.

So it basically just gives you a way to re-face eBay...
My only concern is that I would be more profitable to have your basic organization of items, but then have links to auction listings with an affiliate ID.
Like with auctionads, once they click on a link, you get commission for their next 30 days worth of purchases.

You add your eBay affiliate ID in phpBay Pro, just like Auction Ads. Every commission you earn throuhg eBay using phpBay Pro is yours and yours only.
