hi folks, I have been doing reading here for quiet sometime. As many of you know that I had modest success with adsense + blogspot. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=134395 Few months back I decided to try something different. After researching I thought that if done right, Affiliate marketing is a way to go. I started reading a lot on this forum and some other forums as well and became a member of cj.com, clickbooth.com, linksys.com and few hosting affiliates. I started placing their affiliate links on my successful blogs but really no great results. Lately, I liked the idea of cj.com stores with BANS and also the idea of ppc for affiliate marketing. Based on my reading it is very clear that big people in affiliate marketing are using ppc to their advantage, I tried that with yahoo search marketing and google adwords but actually lost money. BANS store yet in development so I still do not know how they will perform. My question to successful people here is; what am I doing wrong? When it comes to effort I give my 200% but I think I am missing on that first initial step and needs some guidance. I am doing ok with my blogspot blogs but I realize that it becomes difficult to update them, secondly I realize that building website is another tough thing for every affiliate program. I do not know if now a days you can use ppc directly to merchant's landing page or not? I really need some direction to take off from here as I am really stuck. Money part is not an issue for me as I can divert my adsense income to try out differnt things here, but what would be the best idea which does not require regular blogging or constantly updating content of the site. I am not asking for secrets but general hints would be enough for me to take the message. thanks in advance to all good folks who reply with some suggestions which can put me back into momentum and hopefully I would come back with another nice post about successful affiliate marketing. I tried cj before. May be i made a few dollars. I have a high traffic site that makes around $1000 from clickbank. Of course you have to select ads targeting your niche. I am going to try NetBlueAds
Hi, there are ways to succeed with affiliate marketing. PPC still works but you really have to work harder on this. The old days of slapping keywords and an ad directing to the merchant page are gone. You need to create a content website around it if you are using Google Adwords. You may wish to try promoting Clickbank products. There are different strategies to drive traffic and promote sales such as 1. Article marketing 2. Viral ebook marketing 3. List Building 4. Social bookmarking and so on. It really depends on what suits you best. There are as many ways of succeeding at affiliate marketing as there are stars! What works for one person may not work for another. That's why there is no "best" way to go about it. Yes, PPC still works but you'd better have some $$ budgeted for it. I have some info on my site for beginners. You can also check out www.superaffiliatemindset.com. Also go to Google and look up anything by "John Reese". Succeding in Affiliate Marketing is a lot of hard work. That's the only "secret" to it. Many folks just do not want to put in the time and effort to succeed. For many people, it also takes time to build up a site to where it is making money. You gotta be patient. I probaly sound like a "broken record", but have you read these two books? 1. Affiliate Masters Course 2. Make Your Content Presell You can get them for free by clicking on the first link in my signature and going to the "Free Tools" area. (There are some other free tools there you might find helpful, also.) Yes, there are many ways to be successful at affiliate marketing, but for the average affiliate marketer or the newer affiliate marketer, you can't beat the advice these two ebooks have to offer. They can be considered "foundations" to successful affiliate marketing. Once mastered, then you can add your own "style" or variations, but why overlook advice that has been proven over and over to work for the majority...not the few? Hope this is of some help. Jim
I think you need to do more search or join promotional clubs that can help you out. Reading E-Books are sometimes very confusing.
I suggest you get ahold of some PLR (Private Label Rights) material, or a free ebook that you are given master resell rights to, and give it away on a squeeze page where you collect email adresses in exchange for the product. It is very important to build your list, but it is also very easy to avoid doing so. I suggest you get started on it as soon as you can, as it can be a long process. The faster you start, the faster you can literally have your business on 90% autopilot.
