    Read your article,

    got a question.

Doesn't this mean you are training your readers or subscribers to want more free stuff and to ignore you when you do offer some thing that is not free?

i do give my visitor a free stuff at certain time. You can create an interval between selling a product and giving free stuff. Eg. 5 times free stuff and 1 paid stuff. The main point if giving a free stuff is to asked our visitor to come agian soon. Maybe you can try giving a free stuff every monday, so for sure they will bookmark your site. :)

Not really, once there is a level of kudos in place a level of trust. Loyal followers will usually have no problem in buying the best you have to offer because they have already absorbed so much quality from the free stuff so how good must they imagine the priced stuff is.

With the amount of very low priced and free stuff being given away by high profile people, there isn't 'much' internet material worth paying for. Aaron Wall's SEO book for example, I have it, it's good but not worth what he charges. $80? I think there's just abit of reverse physchology marketing going on, it's trick pricing and perception. $80 isn't cheap but it's not THAT expensive either, but for a single ebook on SEO... I'd say that's pretty expensive, but you buy it because your perception of it is

"If he's charging that much for it and people are buying, it must be good"

When in fact... it is good but not worth what he charges. I think he would of got an explosive feedback from it had he given it away for free though.

Hi, giving a free give occasionally to reward your subscribers for their loyalty is quite essential but cultivating a group of freebie seekers is no good. It is always good to offer some form of backend sales or OTO. Alternate the emails with paid products with freebie giveaways is the right balance.
