    I would like to start a youtube network to promote my website, with a lot of interesting movies and place a little ad on each one of them. Has anyone tried this?

    i did with 2 music videos, and they each have around 100 views, but no diffrence

    if these movies are unique and popular, you might do okay... but if they're duplicates, that that'll be a tough one ;)

    Why not just put an ad at the start of your video and upload it to YouTube? They have already done the work of making a popular site, use it to your advantage.

    that's what I'm talking about.

    Anyway, I have read youtube's TOS and they say there that uploading videos for the sole reason of marketing is forbidden.
    So would uploading movies and placing ads on them be a smart move?

    What kind of movies are you thinking of? If you have permission to, there would be no problem in adding in ads.
