I know this is should probably be an easy topic to figure out a contest for but what are some good contest ideas for a website based on nightlife such as bars and clubbing. The only thing that I've really been able to come up with is winning free drinks. Surely there are others or at least I'm sure this can be more creative. Let me also state that the site that I'm working on is a social community and yes, its to increase member count/contribution. I've search this forum extensively and have seen some great ideas for marketing new forums.
The free drinks is the most obvious... If the site organises events, you could also offer free entrances to some of the best clubs in town or perhaps a VIP package with free bottle service.... Or a limousine tour of the city by night... What city is your site for?
The website is targeting Miami area. Thats the thing, I do not organize events and thats whats the tricky situation. If I was a club promoter for example, this process would be a breeze I'm sure.
Love the Limo idea, btw. But, I digress... First thought, hook up with a club promoter and JV I dont' know what the contest is, and that might make it easier. Second thought, combine with a charity fundraiser and get people to donate prizes. Using silent auctions is fantastic for this too. T-shirts 3 day weekend getaways to exotic locations Gift Certificates to restaurants. Vanessa P.S. I'll ask around to some nightlife loving people I know and may reply again.
Definitely agree with vanessa, a t-shirt or a dinner for two at a restaurant is a great prize and can even be donated by a local club or a restaurant...
The limo idea is a quality idea actually because since more that 1 person take limos so chances are, they might get their friends to join too to increase their chances. I do feel that hooking up with a club promoter is eventually going to have to happen. Gift certificates to restaurants is a good economical method for sure. Great ideas so far everybody. Vanessa lol actually you know what? I should also ask around too ...Ask people what they would want.
