Just so you all know :

We continually review all publishers according to our Terms and
Conditions and program policies, and we reserve the right to disable
publishers or sites that are not in compliance with our policies.

Our specialists have found that your account is not in compliance with
these program policies. Specifically, we've found that you have been
placing unwanted advertisements on www.craigslist.org driving traffic
to pages that primarily feature Google ads. As a result, we have
    disabled your account.

Google has certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure
the effectiveness of Google ads for our publishers as well as our
advertisers. We believe strongly in freedom of expression and therefore
offer broad access to content across the web without censoring results.
At the same time, we reserve the right to exercise editorial discretion
when it comes to the ads we display in our AdWords program and the
sites on which we choose to display them in our AdSense program, as
noted in our respective Terms and Conditions.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Sincerely,

    The Google f*ckface team.

    More Google Propaganda

They're not the only game in town.

Go to clickbank find a product and market it on craigslist and other free ad sites. As long as people buy advertisers will be happy.

It probably wasn't so much that advertisers were reporting the spam on craigslist but rather the visitors.

And probably not so much the visitors but a pissed off SERP competitor who checked your backlinks.

Does it mean my competitor could place "unwanted advertisements" on craiglist.org and then Google would ban me? How would Google know who placed the ads???

Possibly, but then they could also submit your site to places like trafficswarm.

    Take away messages:
    • Use only natural traffic.
    • Be familiar with your site's logs, track the referers that show up.

Wow, good point! This will be a constant circle, I fear, with no end in sight. <edit> yeah, even Google's allowed sights tool wouldn't be able to prevent this. Hmmm.

I think more people need to try the clicksors, adbrites etc...

Google have too much of a hold - and I think they're getting a little too big for their boots ;)

I actually came acrossed the competitor that reported me and got me banned.... I found his site in all the same listings I had previously posted in (EXACT NICHE and AD COPY!!) . So I submitted him to some traffic exchange sites, and then set up an 'auto-click' application that runs through proxy on his index page.

I figure 1000+clicks a day from China/The middle east/Africa should get him a nice email like I got.

However that won't work,, since Adsense click bombing does not work.

I've proved that in this forum several times. ;)

Further you have no proof the competitor initiated this action, if you did you may have legal recourse.

i don't think that your competitor can send complaint about other sites unwanted advertisement , that craigslist.org can only do that .

Actually Google needs only look at the referral traffic to the site, and the way the site is built, to determine whether something violates their TOS.

Man, I understand your frustration, I really do. But revenge won't do you any good, you should be spending your time trying to find other sources of revenue.

Besides, being banned (or reported by a competitor) is a risk you take when you choose to cheat. You've gambled your account, and you lost. I'm sorry that you lost your account, but I really don't understand why people cheat the system and then get mad when they get caught.

oh ive found other sources of revenue... the thing that pisses me off is they stole MY template, MY ad copy and everything. Im not mad about losing my account... and im only moderately irritated with the guy who stole my stuff... i figure if i got banned he should too.

Well that's a good reason to be mad! Or "moderately irritated"... :) I think stealing is way worse than cheating.

Can't you report them somewhere for stealing? For the template at least?
