Nice features they got there - I agree, they certainly know what users need, great and helpful features.

Ask.com started advertising in my area via the radio. Maybe they're starting to do a big advertising campaign. If people start using it, like it, and tell their friends, we could find that it's worth looking at.

I doubt that it'll have much of an impact on Google unless they have something amazing to offer.

Does the new ask.com still provide their PPC clients with questionable traffic?

They're advertising here in the UK too. They've been around for a very long time, but i must say i do like the look of this new website. I might even consider switching from google. It would be good if they get that contextual advertising network they patented launched.

The problem I have with Ask is that all of the data seems very dated. I did some searches yesterday and all of the listings were of pages that had been gone many months and in some cases at least a year.

I really like the look, but I've gotta agree with wasabiventures. Some of their cached versions of my sites are several months old. If they could combine great crawling/updating with the new look, I'd definitely consider switching over.

Exactly... I think the world would love to have a real alternative to G. But so far I have not found anyone that really does general search as well.

Hmm, It's been a long time since I have visited Ask. It appears they might be on the right track, but I think it has a long way to go yet. Images were very weak. But at least better than it use to be.

Wow, I must say it's quite a turn around from what they used to have. I like the skins feature, and the ajax features (such as the little search query thing that comes up). Bravo, Ask! Well done :)
