I have serious doubt over their service and especially their JS code. After putting their code, adsense was 50% down that day. Dang! Their JS screws up with adsense. Highly not-recommended. by the way, your tips are good for newbies!

Is disabling the comments on your blog a good thing. Couldn't it possibly discourage people from returning to your site because they can't participate with the articles you've posted? Just thinking out loud...any thoughts on this.
If you are really serious about your blog and going for the long term I would recommend getting your own domain and purchasing your own web space/hosting instead of using blogspot
