If you participating as a buyer or seller that's fine. Telling everyone "you're going to pass" is not needed and brings nothing of any value to anyone else in the forum.

Generally speaking comments in sales threads are not needed.

Right. So follow the link I added when I just edited my post. He even says at the bottom 'but if i were a buyer i'd be extremely careful.' - meaning that he's not even a potential buyer, and that whole post which exposes the lies from the seller is allowed to stay, but my post telling people the reason why I'm going to pass on another offer is deleted?

    Logic please?

What if everyone wrote, "I'll pass..." in every sales thread they weren't interested in?

    Come one, man...use your bean!

So you're really just complaining about your infraction?

If you have a problem with a post and feel it's violating the rules report it. Starting threads like this is not the way to address specific threads/posts.

Nope, double standards and unclear rules.
How come a post which seems much more offending is allowed to stay when others aren't? It's not clear at all. Hence, 'what am I allowed to say in a buy/sell thread'.

No problem my friend, just looking for clarity on the rules.

If you have a problem with a post or feel it's in violation of the rules report it. Can't make it any clearer than that.

You're question as to what you can say in BST thread has also been answered.

    Anything else?

Nope, when you try and report a post it says:

This is ONLY to be used to report misplaced threads, spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts.

That doesn't explain what someone can or can't say, especially as saying 'Too many bad google results for this one. Going to have to pass.' isn't spam, misplaced, advertising, harassment, fighting or rude. If I have a problem with what I feel is a scam, I can't use the report button as it's none of those things either.

I understand your good intentions, although the post was worthless. Anyways its not your job, nor anyone elses to protect people, if they are too lazy to do some research on a site they may bid for or purchase, thats their problem, and if they lack experience, they shouldnt be buying websites then.

A moderator just told you to report a post you have a problem with or feel is breaking the rules.

Do you need someone to physically hold your hand? maybe DP is just to advanced for you. Give the Harry Potter or Pokemon forums a shot perhaps.

Sorry, not going to play word games with you for the rest of the day.

Post in sales thread if you're a buyer or seller and your post is needed to facilitate the transaction or add clarity to an offer. "thanks but no thanks" posts are not needed. You'll have to use some common sense as I can't possibly account for every scenario that may surface in BST thread.

Report posts that you feel violate the rules.
