hey, there do you guys know that you can't fold a paper (any size) over 7 times. i have try that, i can't fold the paper over 6 times. how about you? can you do it? does anybody know the reason is?
hmmm i know i will get a really big sheet and and hire a steam roller and flatten it i will use my street to lay it out hehe
that's cheating! I heard about this when I was a kid, but never tried it... supposedly it's impossible right? how about toilet paper, does that count? It's soft, I'm sure you could get a few good folds out of it
You can't do it with a normal A4 piece of paper. But on that show Myth busters they managed to fold a piece of paper 10 times i think. The thing is the piece of paper was massive. They had to use a empty hanger at NASA to lay it out.
can you give us the fomular of that reason if you know? i heard my friend said that people used to try this to puting newpapers through out the campus 800 metres and then folding them for 10 times, do you guys believe that? 10 times... ... still people can do that.
We did this in maths one, and one really amazing thing is that if you fold an average peice of paper 100 times, it would be : 107 km high!!
If you guys know what mythbusters is, a popular show on the discovery channel, they tested this myth. They had to enlarge teh surface area to be able to fold it more than 7 times. It is not possible with a small notebook size of paper.
