I just received yet another infraction, this time you guys give me an infraction about a 48 hour thread bump, the thread is 3-4 pages deep, and you wait what...3 days later to do this? GET A REAL JOB! this is a joke you guys.. I don't care if it doesn't get removed, but sitting at your desk giving infractions 3 days later when a thread is knee deep in the forums is pathetic...
This will just get you another and here is why source = Infractions - Please read *** DO NOT START A THREAD TO COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR INFRACTION(S)*** _______________________________________________________ As much as some do not like the infraction system, it is necessary to control a forum of this size. An infraction is a simple warning that you have done something wrong. It's not the end of the world, so don't take it personally. There is no real consequence to receiving an infraction, unless you are a spammer or you frequently and blatently break the rules. If you manage to rack up 10 infraction points, you will be banned temporarily. Here is a list of what you can receive an infraction for and a brief explanation of why: - Duplicate thread - If you create a thread about a subject that is already being discussed in another thread, you may receive an infraction. - Affiliate links - Affiliate links are allowed in signatures, but they are not allowed in posts. - Thread hijacking - Off topic posts or trying to promote your own item/service in a thread started by someone else are both examples of thread hijacking. - Running up post count/post has no value - Posts such as "pm sent", "lol" or any other useless post that does not contribute to the forum or the thread is considered a post that has no value. Posting numerous "welcome to the forum" posts in the Introductions forum is also considered post padding or running up your post count. Posting an opinion in a sales thread such as "great price, good luck with the sale" but not actually bidding or participating is not allowed. - Inappropriate post/thread - Although we are quite liberal, certain threads and posts are simply inappropriate. Examples of inappropriate posts would be porn and blatant vulgarity. - Thread started in wrong catagory - If you start a thread in the wrong forum because you do not have enough posts to start a thread in the correct forum (the Buy/Sell/Trade forum, for example), you will receive an infraction. If you start a thread in the wrong catagory, but it appears that you at least attempted to put it in the right forum, you generally will not receive an infraction. - Bumping thread - Bumping is when you reply to your own thread with the sole purpose of bumping it to the top of the forum. Also, a worthless reply to old threads can also be considered bumping. - Inappropriate language - Cursing is not forbidden in this forum, but we expect it to be used minimally. - Attacking/harassing other members - You are allowed to disagree with the opinions of other members but you are not allowed to attack the person or their circumstances. - Spamming - If all or the majority of your posts are promoting or linking to your website or product. You will receive an infraction for spamming. - Duplicate account - If you create more then one account at Digital Point Forums, you will receive an infraction and will be banned. More info regarding infractions: - Yellow infractions are just warnings. Red infractions are the real deal and will incur points toward being banned. - When you view your infractions and the post says "Private" it means that the post you were infracted for has been deleted. If the post has not been deleted, you should be able to click the link and view the post. And finally, Do not start a thread about infractions. 99% off the people that do it are simply playing dumb and wasting the time of moderators. Starting a "Wah! I got an infraction!" thread will probably lead to another infraction. I hope this helps !
You get that. Live and learn. No use crying over spilt milk. Move on, nothing to see here. Any more sayings like this?? Col
There isn't a time limit of when they are allowed to give you infractions. Sometimes I read cases where they gave infractions for month old posts. Just try to follow the rules.
That was funny, Col. It's very easy actually. This was a simple one, too. Don't bump your threads. How hard is that?
