    My 2 cents. I have tried all these traffic - popup, popunder, expired domain.
    I have a tracking on my site, and found out that NONE of these 5000 (!!!) visitors made a single download or hit a single link on my site. While regularly I have about 4500 daily uniques which do 1000-1200 downloads.
    Do not be sold by phrase: "We sell more expensive traffic, it is more expensive because they are real visitors from e.g. expired domains".
    One offer 10000 uniques for 13 bucks, one 5000 for 35 (proudly saying they deliver quality traffic).
    They say... real... not machine generated... targeted... This is all SCAM.

    Dealt with them. Bullshit. If you want hits on your site, they can help. Hits may be useful if you want to boost counters, but they are only hits.
    I spent about 500 bucks on these matter and can tell you guys - never, never, never waste your money.

    Yes, you just waste your money by doing it. Because 99% of the time, those hits do not come back to your site again.

    Cheap traffic never seems to pan out. I have tried it on some of my side project sites only to see the visit show only the main page and for an average of 3 seconds. Even though it is not expensive, it is still a complete waste.

    Hi Miranda,

    My suggestion would be to try multiple places to buy traffic and track everything mercilessly.

    For example, I tried Ad Blaster once which was supposed to place my ad on 2.5 million sites and I got not one clickthrough or sale. The same ad got great click throughs and sales from other traffic sources.

    The tracking system I use to tell this is 1ShoppingCart. It not only tracks how many clickthroughs I got, but also how many new subscribers and even sales as a result of each campaign. This service pays for itself in savings every month as I dump the campaigns that don't work and focus on what does work.

    I would also like to invite you to advertise for free to members of my Free Traffic Bar at http://www.freetrafficbar.com.

    What do you mean by "real" traffic? Meaning same amount on a daily basis?

    Just run some of this campaign ($10-$15 is worth an experiment) and track down the incoming IPs, then tell us the results.

    I tried WantedHits, ExpiredDomainTraffic.Net, BuyHitsCheap.com.
    May be you should try something else... but I feel quite pessimistic about the results.
    Type in Google "cheap traffic" or something like this and choose.

    About freebies, I have not tried any.

    Not sure about this stuff, never tried it before. But as a person who wasted
    $500 on this matter, I can say: use this traffic ONLY to boost counters, placed on your target page. Nothing more...

    the tip to buying traffic is to have a landing page that draws their attention. No company can sell you clicks or sales. All they can do is give you the chance to grab your visitors attention. If you as the webmaster can not do this in roughly the first 6 seconds then they hit the back button and go about there business.

    Once again the traffic may not be the best traffic in the world but if your site has nothing that will grab their attention, then it isnt the traffic sellers fault, it is just not meant to be.

    What I suggest people do if they want to buy traffic,, is to create a new page on their site and drive the visitors to it. On this page,, Make something that grabs their attention,, bold , loud and eyecatching.. then when they click on that link it takes them to your homepage or page of offer. Still then, it is all about the offers, info etc etc on your site.. Grab their attention, if you do not get it they go elsewhere.

    Just my 2 cents

    It sounds reasonable, but I have 4500 uniques without any additional traffic. Using the tracker, I found that (in 6-month shape):
    1. 26% download my utility;
    2. 28% go to "read more page";
    3. 19% go to other pages;
    4. 27% goes away.

    When I bought traffic, I got 5300 uniques/day (+800 extra per day).
    New results point, that I have increased position #4 by 17% - these 17% were my newly-purchased visitors! What kind of people came to my page, if that were real people?

    Freddy valid point about real people. With all of this autosurf crap going on (for example stormpay started something called stormclix, basically websites setup on a timer, every 20 seconds new site, paid to view) you have to watch out which company you go with. Alot of companies just use autosurf which is bad for you, since the people doing the surfing want click on your site since they get paid to view all the sites they can.

    Just ask the companies who they use or if they partake in autosurfing

    When you use traffic exchange programs, in general the only group you are targeting are webmasters (there's an exception listed below).

    So, you'd better make an interesting ad applying to webmasters. Something that makes their lifes easier.

    Now, what are webmasters looking for in traffic exchange programs ......??

    More Traffic!

    Therefore, imho, one of the best things you can promote is .... a traffic exchange.

    All you have to do is make an enticing ad .... (here's an example). Please do NOT copy. Just make a BETTER one!

    You have to think out your strategy carefully before promoting these programs.
    Select the best exchange programs you can find (I'm not going to discuss them, it's too personal) and stick to these.
    Here's another example.
    Promote your favorite program (the one that delivers best; of course this requires tracking!) on the other traffic exchanges, thus building your downline.

    Basically that's how I'm using traffic exchanges.

    Still, you're only targeting webmasters.
    There's one (free to join) traffic exchange program that targets real visitors.
    When you sign up, you'll get free credits immediately.
    I think this is worth checking out, because it's another (and additional) traffic resource.

    Hope this helps,
    Case Stevens

    I guess you don't know what your talking about. I own a traffic business and all the visitors are all real with a unique ip address. Maybe you should do a little more research ;).
