Keywords density

    Hi
    Could you please help me.
I wish to optimize the page for the keyword "Dating directory"
    Now the density looks like
    dating - 16%
    directory - 8%
    other - less 4%

    What should I do?
Include more "directory" to get 16% like dating?
Remove some "dating" and add "directory" to get 12% for each?
What is the most preferable way for Google?
    Thanks in advance

Your percentages are way too high. Write your content and then add keywords where they make sense to the reader. Generally, 9% is the highest I have seen that is acceptable.

    I've seen 11% density, google 1st position.
    Ok thanks for the answer
I suppose I better decrease some "dating" and get closer to "directory".

better is to increase content than removing the old text. Add more content and that will make Google happier

11% keyword density....wow...wonder what the content reads like.....2 5 or 3 % should suffice like the man said....a high keyword density may bring traffic but will your readers find the content useful enough to follow through?

Not necessarily...all you have to do is make sure the text on the site is readable..people want to read and get interested not read and switch pages...organize your text properly ( use headings, bullets , lists and a better font for some of the pages).... search engines won't cry if your keyword density is 11% but human beings will...and it makes it difficult to digest whatever you have to offer..

Thanks, will try to do something better. Stats show that people do find this site somehow by "russian brides", but I want to get higher as all of us I suppose.

Actually as of now I'm not measuring the density of my content. I just create the content for readers and not for search engine. If your content is unique and looks natural content search engine will give you reward.

    Hi
Try to add "dating story" on your page as a keyword.

    My advice:
Add some content and make the density in this way
    dating - 10%
    directory - 9%
    other - less 3%

You keyword density sounds a bit high. But try focus less on the keyword density and more about the quality of your website. Rather have a lot of useful text then a short text with high density.

If you are using a word 16 times in 100, you are flat out just using it too much. Write your content to give your reader a good experience. You can't do that with continual repetition. It's like reading with a jackhammer in the background.
