How do I find out the PR of my blog?

Just google pagerank checker tools, plenty of them out there.

 

But are they ALL accurate?

 

Almost all are accurate. Check it with 2 or 3 tools to be sure or just use the google toolbar.

Both great suggestions. I'd also recommend using Firefox and installing Smart Pagerank's plugin, as well as SEOQuake. You'll be all set then.

Any why don't any DP pages have PR?

 

Only pages with backlinks from other PR pages will get PR, the homepage and sub forums have PR but most threads don't because they don't have many backlinks

Don't our sig links work as backlinks?

 

Yes depends, some of the pages the links are on aren't indexed and not many of the threads will have PR?

Say for example you have a link to your avatar auction in your signature and your signature is in a few threads with PR your avatar auction thread won't get PR until the next PR update and you might not even have enough PR backlinks, because say your signature is on 5 threads with PR1, theres 20 posts on that page and each post has 2 links in their sig, thats 40 outgoing links then divide 1 (PR) by 40 (outgoings) multiply it by 5 (threads) = 0.125 so you won't even get PR1, although it's a little more complicated but thats practically it but people like me will have more than 5 threads they have posted in which has PR

 

Take a look at the stickies. They have PR because of the referencing from sigs, other forum posts, and possibly externally. Also, they sit at the top of the forum.

 

The stickies get PR because the sub forums have PR and they are practically given a permanent link form the sub forum so when the PR update is done they get PR unlike normal threads they are there and gone within a few hours or a few minutes so you have to be lucky to have you thread there at the right moment when the snapshot is being taken by google

Cant believe you've made over 1,500 posts in DP and you still dont know what PR is or how to find out the PR for your site? What have you been doing in this forum?

 

The Google Toolbar is probably the best. Install it free.

 

DP is a big forum. There is a lot more here than just PR and blogging. My blog is mostly inactive, so I never really cared about it or it's PR. But lately someone has been trying to talk me into getting it active again.
