    Hello All,

How to stop illegal activities on the DP marketplace
    ("Buy, Sell or Trade") ?

One of my products is currently sold by someone
who haven't purchased a reseller license, and another
one who sells it for less than the minimum authorised
price ($4 instead of the minimum $17).

Both sellers have 1,500+ posts on DP ! Reputable
    DP members ?

I PMed them, but still waiting for a response.

    How to report frauds ?

    Thank you.

    Didier

Post your concern in the thread and people will then stop to buy.

I thought that generally results in an infraction... though I could be wrong.

Try the report button with proof or links to proof. You can even start threads on the individual members in general chat or the underground as a means to warn people against scammers.

Posting the information in the thread could get you an infraction.

DP can't be the buy/sell/trade police unfortunately.

Use the Report button or PM one of the mods and provide as much details as you can about the fraud. They will soon close the sales thread.

Report the post or thread violating your product's copyright using the "Report Post" feature ([IMG]).

Please take note that DP may require you to have some type of proof for your declaration as a copyright holder. This may include any copyright documents or trademark registry documents you received from the US Copyright Office or something similar.

It's upto the People buying should check it n not the responsibility of Mods or Admins to check every thread's legitimate claim of being honest.

That's an infraction waiting to happen. Doesn't seem fair though, but not much in life is.

i don't see how. you create something and set conditions for the resale of said creation.

then someone comes along and sells your creation while violating the conditions and ruining your creation with a ridiculously low price.

i would say something, and i wouldn't be nice about it either.

If you have good arguments when posting I dont think you will get an infraction. That would have been very strange if you did.

Strange indeed, especially if you were polite and offered proof of any types of violation, but such is how things work here at DP.

Sadly, we [IMG] Don't we have right to warn people in sales threads?

In many ways the system is set up to protect the scammer...and while I can see that it does in fact help the legit post, it's also harming them. They really need a happier medium on the matter.

i don't think its a warning to other members who make make a purchase, more like a challenge to the person selling the object, especially if its an illegal or somewhat questionable sale.

Thanks, but this didn't help me so far (proof were provided).
No response from the mods...

It turned out that both didn't buy a reseller license from me.
    They're thieves !
    Plain and simple.

That's very surprising to read that !

Yes, one of the 2 is this one.

You're right. Lot of "pirated" stuff out here !!!

So waiting my infraction to come...

Thank you to all who helped me so far.

DidierFaucher try to use multi quote option, no need to make a post for each reply.

I would say something in the thread, leave negative itrader feedback, leave negative rep, pm the bastard and curse himout.. Report the post to a mod using the botton and post a thread here as you did.. LOL

I would be PISSED if I were you and DP should in no way give you an infraction for protecting your goods in his illegal thread. They might, depending on how the mod feels, interprets the situation and forum rules and such.. but IMHO they should not and it says alot if they do.

From previous threads I've seen posted, they do. And yes, that does say a lot.

I'll not buy anything from here, and other then my sig, I don't think I'll be selling. By not standing up against scams and scammers they encourage such behavior, and as such the number of both will continue to rise till there is no turning back.

Especially if the OP is right, and that proof via the report feature is ignored (though, we'll need to wait to hear from a mod to be fully sure).

However, I must point out, that in this case negative iTrader can NOT be left by the OP at least...tthough, heh, it would be kind of funny if a few of the buyers bought whatever it was for $4 rather then the minimum $17 and left a bad iTrader stating that "it was a good deal, but the guy was a scammer in that he sells things under cost".

    *shrug*

    Anyone got $4?
