If they wanted the domain at any time, they could take it from you.

No. Depending on how it is and how big the company is. I'm pretty sure you all heard of MikeRowSoft.com ( cnn.com/2004/TECH/internet/01/19/offbeat.mike.rowe.soft.ap/) Just picture what happened. Microsoft won the case but gave Mike Row a great reward. Gave him access to all Microsoft Software Unlimited amount of Years and Unlimited amount of copys and access to Microsoft Development Team Board which is a community for programmers where they can test microsoft up-coming software. Microsoft just shut down the name.

As I said before it just depends on the domain and what you are offering. If are willing to fight it trust me you will win as A) Free of Speech B) Unless they own the name before you registered it(Once registered it's basically copyrighted).

Understand that when you register a domain it doesn't need to be LEGALLY copyrighted, you created it before they did you own it now. Unless they recently made a new law about that, which I really doubt. Best of Luck.

Would be stupid if people could sue you for having a domain with their name. There are usually many people with the same name, after all.

You can register whatever name you want, names are not trademarked. ;)

Just imagine G Bush father in court because G Bush son regged the Gbush.com domain :p
