phplinkbid its so easy?

i have a network of about 10 sites with some pr and i am willing to start a bidding directory for only travel sites in greece.I dont know allmost anything about program languages and especialy php.In the site saying

Requirements
PayPal account:i have
PHP (version 4.2+ or PHP 5):i download it.maybe i am dumb but i have to only uploaded from my ftp?
MySQL:maybe i am dumb again,but,all my hosting plans have that right?
Apache + mod_rewrite: the same as above???
any help will be greatly apreciated and rep will be add.

Dont anyone tell me about quick money and things like that because i am not that kind of guy and i have invest much money and havent sell anything.

Hi scooby!

All the things you list above would already be supplied by your hosting company. If you are unsure. Send them an email and ask that they have all of those requirements.

They should answer fairly quickly, if they don't I would suggest finding someone else. If they can't reply quickly when you are trying to give them money they probably aren't going to reply when you are having problems with your site.

Just ensure that you have Linux based account, not windows based account.

Just let us the host name and we would be able to suggest you.

but i know that my hosting plans will have the Requirements
i am just not good in programing and if i set up my directory wich i am going to buy from them can i make changes like i do in html sites wich i can only you know change the categories name.example directory category change to greek islands.
also if the hosting plan is ok i just uploaded in my ftp and its up and running?

Like the others said, your host should have the requirements. Make sure that their server is running on Linux and have MySQL/PHP4 support. Shouldn't be any problems from that point onwards

 

don't forget to create the DB first! i saw a lot of people who did not created the DB first.
