I hear that the Chitka program is catching on at an increasing rate is anyone else finding they are getting better results with it than with adsense?
lol I put it up on one of my sites and had terrible results, but I have heard others doing well - probably just depends on your visitor demographics and site topic.
There are probably alot of factors to this. But are you seeing better results over a long period of time say the past 2 weeks?
For me, chitika was teh suck. I can't wait until Google expands the referral program beyond Firefox to include Picassa...if they do $1 a download + use on that one, I'll be a very happy guy.
Nope, you're not the only one. But in the long term Chitika earnings will level off just like any ad program.
well personally there isnt enough keywords yet implemented in chitika... but i do find that they are paying quite well.. i have yet to have a click below 50 cents.. but the conversion sucks,, it evens out though,, i guess if you can have one chitika pay as well as 3 adsense,,it is beneficial.. Yahoo I feel will be the adsense alternative once they get more relevant and targetted ads.. that is until msn breaks out,,, I think it is great that there is now more than just one basket to put our eggs in..lol
yeah,, i think just give it some time,,, I think all programs in beta start out with a target country of testers,, before it falls out of beta they I am pretty sure will implement other countries in, they will do this just to make sure there ad servers can handle the amount of requests and tracking and click control on their end..
FYI it is against the TOS to post affiliate links in messages on Digital Point. As for Chitika.. I had my best day ever by a wide margin yesterday. That being said, it is not a one size fits all solution. Just like adsense/ypn is not.. just like any real monetization effort. The reality is if you have more than a single page on a single site you probably would do best with multiple tools to make money with your site. This all-or-nothing mentality I see people going through doesn't make any sense. I have had horrible results with YPN. That doesn't mean I just removed it from all pages on all my sites. It means I have kept it in a few places to continue testing until I find the best niches and ways to utilize it on my sites. All these different programs are the best option in some circumstances. The game is to try and figure out what is the best for each page and each ad position you offer. I think anyone who just removes all chitika ads from all their sites is making a mistake. It is HIGHLY unlikely that adsense, for example, is the best choice for page of every single one of your sites. Be it because of inventory issues, subject matter, visitor expectations whatever.. There are likely places where something like Chitika makes sense. Just as some places YPN makes sense, other affiliate programs make sense etc etc.
This chikita fad is in overdive...it sucks mini-mall? WTF is a mini-mall? Whole thing confuses me. Regardless, its not like I would make any more money with chikita than adsense.
Please stop pluging you boring, stupid chikita blog. We know already that it is better than adsense. Stop plugging it. Thanks.
I applied to Chitika and was rejected. The site I applied for is a translation services business site that also sells language products like handheld dictionaries and such. I had the impression it was easy to get accepted. Perhaps I didn't meet the traffic minimum? Still, I think I could pick up some extra income from Chitika on that site. Any suggestions?
Dude you could just fudge those numbers...not like they can actually determine the # of pageviews. Jusr put in something like a million
I'm just guessing that's why I got rejected. I put in 100,000/month which is about right. Ya think that's too low? Or maybe it was something else? They give no hint as to why they reject.
