Now that I'm approved; Can I use kontera on any site that own? Much the way adsense works, or does Kontera require approval of each site you use it on?

Every time I use it for another one of my sites, I shoot them an email explaining what I'm doing and for what site, and they approve it pretty fast.

You have to let them know about other sites.

Yep, you have to let them know about your other sites that you use it on. Good luck with this anyway.

And when there are some I roll over them and the ads don't load. Then When I roll away the inline link disappears!

I never used Kontera but for some reason think I have been to their site before. Lots of media junk. Probably will be a tough ad to get conversions on.

My experience with Kontera is that more people click on the ads than AdSense, but they pay way less, so you end up making more with AdSense anyway... (If that's possible)

I see Kontera as additional revenue, not as a replacement for Adsense, far from it.

Site by site basis. Each must meet the 500,000 page views a month mark.

This is not true. It's more about the quality of content on the website and how well Kontera will perform on the site I think, not traffic.

    Hermmm...

When I was accepted a while ago I had been told about a 500k page views but maybe I'm just spacing out right now.

You have to run Kontera ads for a while before they're optimized

I definetely agree, but getting a CPM deal would be best imo (help provide a stable extra source of revenue)

That's the requirements Kontera states, but I got accepted with much fewer page impressions then that, and I know others who did too.

Ahhh, perhaps you're referring to the whole John Chow deal he has going with them. I was accepted before they started doing this so that must be why I missed it.

    Hello everyone,

Good to see all the important points mentioned here...
First, I wanted to say that Kontera had removed the 500,000 pageviews requirement a while back.
Second, Google Adsense and Kontera are two very different systems that run on a different matix, and cannot be lightly compared- though they can run on the same page :)

    I agree.
Moreover, our algorithm is meant to recognize a word and the context it appears in and match it with a compatible ad, this of course, happens in real-time. Other than this, there are many ways to optimize Kontera ContentLink in a website and our support will be happy to help and advise. I can also give tips.

Dollar, I'd like to help with the technical problem you're describing. If you want, send me your site's link.

    Mika,
    Kontera Optimization Team

Kontera doesn't display a live report, only an audited report, which takes about 7 days.

Ah, Okay. I thought to myself last night the same thing which you just said.
What counts as an Impression? Just the link being on the page or when someone rolls over it?
