Will a site copying my content, but giving me a link back damage my g rankings

Hi
I have just been emailed by
a company asking for a link exchange, however I havce visited their blog and they copied my porsche page into their blog and posted it from me with a link back to my site and a description, I know dup content is bad, but is posting it in a blog, equally as bad?
Would you report him or ???

Report him , else wait till he gets better ranking in technorati, few people diggs his blog post and his blog outranking your website .
If you do not believe me just post the same article in some bookmarking site and your website, after few days you may find the article at bookmarking site is ranked better that your website's article for the keywords.

Report his blog, also search for DMCA and complain to google.

Did you try asking him to remove the content???

 

I decided not to report him, I sent him an email, and received a rapid response apologising , how he misunderstood what a link exchange was .

Mindyou he has removed it so I ve left it there, thanks for the support.

If you give backlink I think it's better choice for your site.
