I'm going to be the lone voice here in a chorus of support.

As a doctor who now owns a directory i'm the opposite way around.

I've made millions from the internet but relatively little from medicine.

If your clever enough to do well in medicine you will have a better life elsewhere.

Medicine is demanding, arrogant, beurocratic and bad for your life.

Make sure you have put more thought into your decision than i did.

P.S. I'm assuming your in the states....I'm not so I dont understand the system. But i'm relatively sure you have zero chance of becoming a neurosurgeon in 12 years. Give yourself twenty years, all going according to plan. I haven't ever heard of anyone getting there in 12.

From my own experience: Of everything you thought your life was going to be I think only 15% will ever be true.

He has showed that has a talent, I think he has a good chance of having his dream come true. He will never know unless he tries. It's always good to have a backup plan.

But I have to agree that a directory will be a distraction for him and best option is to pay 100% of his energy to his studies.

thanks alot this is all i was thinking. Dr. Fuzzy you probably do know more than me as experience is the best teacher. I have taken this step after alot of thinking and i am pretty sure it is going to work out. 12 years is an approximate time. I am sure you haven't heard of it, but you dont hear a 16 year old in college that often either.
