    Do you have any advice?

Where do I get my content from?

Is news content from other sites copyrighted?

I'm thinking about starting with a free wordpress blog,
and then moving up to a domain later on.

    Thanks.

You rewrite content from news sites in your own words as a summary or intro to the story or comment on the story and then link to the news site where you got it from.

get an own host and domain, install wordpress, write unique content (well, rewrite from press releases and news sources). Promote it, and hope for the best ;)

    Hi Cross Seeker,
    Thanks for asking.

Matt Drudge is a former newsreporter who struck out on his own some years ago, and has never looked back since.

Today his newspage, The Drudge Report enjoys millions of page views daily.

He competes in Page Rank with CNN and MSNBC. Everyone from politicos to power players in the entertainment industry reads Drudge several times daily.

In other words, this news monster is probably the most influential news site on the 'net.

But what exactly is The Drudge Report? Take a look here:
    http://www.drudgereport.com

All it is an aggregation of newslinks and articles by newspaper columnists.

You can start your own niche news outlet by subscribing to select rss feeds on specific news topics, scouring the net for items which would be of interest to your target market, and then put it all together ala Drudge on one page.

Voila! You now have your own news blog/webpage bot candy.

Next, heavily promote it to your niche.

    Hope this helps.

    God loves you.
    Brent.

You should be focused on certain topics. This is the most important point, I think.

Don't try to talk about everything.

Be first to get the news. I think it will make you an authority on the topic if you new about it before most of the people who are interested

You could use desert scraping. If you use programs like adsense boy then seo will suck
