I just finished creating a site. It's a spin on a bidding directory. I'm using it more like a classifieds for people buying and selling website reviews. How do I market it without looking spammy?
My suggestion: 1. Blog review - you can purchase it or get the natural review from blog owners 2. Theme and template sponsor - directory, wordpress, joomla or even forum skin Good luck
The usual stuff: press release get lots of reviews of your site via blogs (offer them a free deal to get things going) social bookmarking sites offer some sort of contest or special offer become very active on forums such as this, especially ones that allow sig links
find forums where you can get people to review your site there is lots of forums where people will do this for free. Buy advertising on a related site. have the link posted in your forum signature, if you have friends with websites tell them about it maybe see if they will link trade with you. And most importantly try to get high rankings on search engines
1. Try to advertise among your own people first(friends,relatives,colleagues). Get the word out of the mouth. 2. You can also use it as s signature for forums and has to be a eye catching line. 3. If you are subscribed to any websites as a blogger, you can write small articles about the products and also start selling them at a rate where people will come and buy. You can try out these things!!!
