I have studied the subject in depth and there is no justification for smart pricing. And the variying payment of 0.01 cents to $26 per click. I love adsense and am really happy with it. But i am not happy with this smart pricing. I am considering writing them a letter. Allowing smart pricing for one keyword and not them all is discriminating. There should be no justification for 0.01 cent clicks. Or anything less that 10 cents for that matter. I want to write a letter, and get thousands of signatures ( a petition), against smart pricing. Whos in?
I say that smart pricing is just another way for Google to accumulate more funds. does the adwords advertiser also get a discount? not! this business about conversion, the clicks not converting, what is that? that's rubbish. if the click does'nt convert, then it's the advertisers fault for not putting together a nice appealing landing page. how about the fact that we (the publishers) sent that advertiser a consumer that perhaps was not aware that _____.com existed and may return to that site in the future? (impression) we see commercials on TV for coca-cola, do we all go out to buy coca-cola at that moment? no. but when we are at the supermarket we might be more apt. to pick that item up, on acct. of all those goddam impressions we have in our minds it's all garbage on the part of Google -smart pricing is a way to boost up their bottom line-
I agree that it's partly the advertisers fault for not creating a good enough page. I hate smart pricing affects all your sites not just 1
Yes it does. Its discriminatory. But saying that it probably is okay, because the pricing fluctuates. The same as the housing market. So sometimes like a house, your site will make more. My views contradict each other i guess.
Smart pricing is the lamest thing i have ever heard... When a advertisers starts a advertising campaign,he knows the campaign may fail. Advertising is a risk business,if google has this so called "smart pricing system" (which i think is just a other way of saying "we take more money),then what is the risk factor for the advertiser of it all? And second of all,how am i gonna send a good performing visitors if 80 % of my advertisers are MFA sites, which i can't block, because if one is blocked, another one pops up?
I am pretty sure I have been smart priced... I am now down to about 7 cents a click after 3 years of working my butt off... I don't pay for traffic, and the 400,000 page views I get a month are from search engines and word of mouth... Today is my birthday and to celebrate I am considering pulling the plug on Adsense...
lol... well seriously, smart pricing has been a prick in the ass for many of us. There should be a a mechanism to address this...maybe all adsense advertyisers can go on strike?!!!
