Google Update

I am seeing a lot of hits from Google tonight or this morning lol. Is it me or are we going through a major update right now for serps and all. I wasnt showing up for any of my phrases in G but now I am in the top 10 on a lot and top 5 for most. It looks like a deep crawl to me.

Anyone else seeing this update?

 

I got 10 new pages indexed yesterday that were 3rd level (index-page2-newpages)

Seems like something is happening. But I don't see this for all our sites?!?!
Only seems like SERPS are changing for some sites?

 

I did see a very large googlebt crawl in the past few days. But my site seems to be moving in the wrong direction

For backlinks, is there a difference between a page .html page and a .php page? The .php pages are indexed, but I don't see them showing up as backlinks.

 

I see nothing here.

Using the The Google Datacenter Watch Tool, everything looks very stable.

Which Google servers (by IP address) are you looking at?

Googlebot crawling has no immediate connection to a SERPS update.

 

My sites are all holding (PR, backlinks & SEPRs). I've noticed more activity from the Google bot (MSN bot too) over the last few days but that's it.

 

The SERPS as per digitalpoint are looking rosy. Big leaps for many phrases where PR/onpage/offpage optimisation has not been changed, ie for my site the following secondary terms (worldwide): "Auckland" lept from 36th to 26th, "Auckland New Zealand" 80th to 53rd, "Restaurants Guide" 86th to 68th in the world. Top for all main important terms, but its the secondary terms that I have some fun with.

There are still a number of terms that I should be higher for, and where I have been higher in the past etc. So Google is still not its old self, but its getting better. Similar big changes in clients sites.

Lets see about Nigritude Ultramarine and how high I can get for that.

I noticed many new and better positions for my keywords!!

I dont think it is a full update, but something has been changed on google today. At least my keywords are getting better positions...

 

Yahoo also picked up last week...

These are huge improvements for me. Thanks everyone.

 

Finally getting some of the few hundred new pages I added over the last 2-3 weeks indexed.

Also pleased to see that some of the Florida affected sites are making it back. Slowly but surely the work appears to be paying off. Mostly working on the backlinks plus a bit of tweaking here and there with the navigation.

Let's hope it holds over the next few days.

 

Boy, I feel left out ... I remember a month or so ago when I had big jumps all over the place, but so far, just a little action for me, barely significantly more than the normal up/down rumble.

I just pulled some great results.. although I also just bought a very strong auth link as well, so I'm not sure which is which... but it all works for me

 

Yea, I'm finally seeing the new forum getting indexed too.

 

Yeah, I've noticed that too. My sites recently gone from being unranked to being top 5-10 on all most every key word. Great news since my boss wouldn't be too happy if there weren't any results from all the optimizing I've spent the last 2 weeks working on!

I'm seeing some of my newer sites (3 months) jumping up into the rankings over the last two days.

 

I am seeing my site jump into the top 10 for most of my key phrases and there are quite a few in the top 5. My main phrase atlanta real estate is in the top 15 but hasnt hit top 10 yet.

I hope we get this figured out LOL..I want top 5 for it soon but maybe wait till after sunday since seo guy bet me 100 bucks he could have me top 10 by Sunday..

 

OK - looks like I can join the party now - some bouncing around more than usual on my end - will be curious how long this goes.
