    On Oct 18 1867, Alaska became property of America, I think thats the point.

    Did Alaska lose 10 days because of Russian/American calendars?

    it happened before. I think when romans changed to the julian calendar, 17 days were lost or something. I forget exactly.

    Actually the US did lose apox 17 days or more in fact we gave them up in order to come into compliance with the rest of the worlds calendar system.
