Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Hey about the same significance as the person who can spit a mellon pip the furthest or the person who can recite the Lord prayer the fastest - and they have all got a book dedicatd to them.

A record is a record, be it pip spitting, 100m olympic race or the Page rank update. Its important because its the longest.

Why does everyone know Neil Armstrong and not as many Buzz Aldrin? Because Neil was the first, he set the record.

If I d say that Google is giving Pagerank Update up to Dmoz-Staff I d be ... sarcastic. Lol so I won't.

What I m trying to say - Google is turning to an lazy Giant who can't do nothing more than to breath.
Well whats that - Dmoz symptoms - that giant is falling into itself. Ok - it has its Labs and stuff - but guess -
what the heck do we need some creepy labs ?? - be need Google as it was - it was all about searching - now it is about Maps, Sky, Hell knows what anymore.
And thats the end - even if there ll be an PR Update. Its not more as it was...

They are pretty sweet though! I think what's happened is instead of 0->10 it's now 10->0. At least that's I how imagine it.

 

Arright, sinse we talking about changes I thought I'd drop a line on what Ive seen.

I did some link optimization this month and have seen a 1/3 spike in my traffic and a move in SERPs. It may be nothing at all but may be something.

Speaking of records, this thread is getting rediculous. I wonder if it beat any records.

 

For sure it will break records!!!! So make sure your name is on. Who knows- maybe Mr. Google decides to pay visit and give us a nice pr (or Ban all of us)

On the other hand this thread can go to the "Guinness World Records" for the longest thread.

I just got back from going over to the Google campus. I knocked on the door and asked about the PR update - on behalf of everyone here - luckily Matt Cutts answered; however, he said the PR Update Team is too tired for doing anything today as they held a 42 bracket ping-pong tournament just to stretch the 'longest update record' one more day. Maybe tomorrow. Sorry guys.

 

Google at one time could be expected to update every 90 days or so... even in bad times (Jagger/Big Daddy) we got some updates... though existing PR'd sites went a year at one point...

What we saw in July was a canonicalization update, similar to what you pointed to in this thread. I am now convinced that what we saw August 24th (I started that thread, it was the first PR change for existing sites for over a year) and the January 10th - 25th event... (see this thread too).... (which was the PR update, which was the canonicalization?) were canonicalization events as well.

The significance? Either something is wrong, or something that was wrong is being fixed...

Okay everyone this no page rank update thing is becoming increasingly frustrating, big time.

It's big war going on now between text link ads and google.Why TLA changed their strategy with their links?Why google is late with PR update?This is going to end soon and i just hope that our work is not going to be for nothing.Google does not like paid links and TLA is all about paid links,so to cover from google they changed their strategy and they give only one week to webmasters to fix this.
