PR6 forum, with 110,000 posts... which is about 6-7 years old. Used to be PR7 for a very long time.

Made $5,424.28 through Adsense in the last 20 or so months. Proof dating back from December 2005 available... used to sell links when it was a PR7 and made an additional $4,000 from this in 2006. Not looking for a whole lot.

$6,500 and it's yours. Whoever PMs first, or posts sold.

Need to head to the store to grab some milk and stuff.. will be back to gather screenshots for traffic and earnings..

if someone is rather excited, they can place a conditional BIN offer (upon verification of decent traffic stats and revenue) to secure a first chance at acquiring.

Edit: Just gathered 7 jpgs and uploaded them on to the utc.com domain.. because I'm trying to avoid having the domain name appear in the thread, will PM these seven links to whoever requests... PMs sent to the two posters above.

I have to say that the webalizer stats don't look bad at all.. August stats are cut off at the 22nd.. so it must be some issue with the server.. but through the entire year, it looks quite stable. Referrel screenshots also included for the past three months, so you can see the keywords which are bringing in the traffic.. the majority of it is coming from Yahoo search.

The big one mentioned in my sig never sold. Changing strategy and just trying to secure around ~$15k/month in stable earnings from as few as possible large sites.. hense unloading everything else, and also refraining from buying more smaller ones.

PM sent with links to stats.

Also, would like to mention, that there is absolutely no legal issues here.. this is not a torrent site. It's simply a freindly forum with a lot of history.

Neither I nor the previous owner (as far as I know) has been contacted regarding any legal issue in the 7+ years this site has been online.

Why are some of the forums private? Has there been any change in activity with the forums "private"?

Not a traditional ebay style auction.. $6,500 takes it now.. other offers in the $5-6k range will be considered without any obligation to sell.

They've been like that for years. This wasn't introduced recently.

The forum isn't so active as it was in the past. I wouldn't give 6,500$ for it ;)

If it was as active now as it was in the past, the asking price would have been around $20,000. On the other hand, if it had no history, it would be worth $800. The big question is whether it could return back to its pervious glory given the correct attention and promotion.

The merits listed in the opening post and the domain name suggest it can.

RegalPower, are you suggesting we ignore the established nature of the domain name when pricing?

Another significant value for me in owning this for the 20 months I've had it is Link Vault weight.. I was showing those ads in all of 2006 and it was generating a very fair amount of vaultage. The market back then for vaultage was about $800/month for the amount being produced.. After we upgraded to vBulletin 3.6.x I never got around to reinstalling LV, and I never needed the vaultage anyways.

So... some possible improvements which could be made in the short term include adding vbseo and waiting for mass indexing... and then after one or two PR updates.. LV could be reintroduced generating a significant amount of vaultage, which could be used to promote other sites in your portfolio, or simply renting for some $$$. Alternatively, co-op ads could be added to generate network weight in the mid xx,xxx

Google's site: command is currently showing 16,100 very well indexed pages without any suplemental results. Yesterday I added co-op code and validated to see how much weight would be produced, and it came to 9100. This is without me pointing any links towards any of the sub pages and also without vBSEO installed... the current content on the site can support indexing of pages into the 300 thousands.. With PR6 and even 120k pages indexed network weight would be 45,000.. which is quite valuable. For interested parties not familiar with what this is referring to, feel free to PM, and I'll explain further.

Edit: Come to think of it, I will be doing this myself, if this thread does not lead to a sale, as I went out and introduced improvements in the network mentioned in my sig (increased revenue by over $1000/month).. thankfully the potential is real and not made up...

    PM me some info please.

Also, what's LinkVault? (Perhaps a google search is necessary...)

    Thanks :D

If you're already aware of the co-op network then link vault is not very different. There should be some old threads here compairing the two networks.
