I see all these blogs with screenshots directly from the internet, as if they have a *camera in their monitor*. So I was wondering...where do I get those screenshots from?

Basically, all you need to do is press either prt sc on your keyboard, or ctrl + prt sc and then paste it into paint or photoshop or any program like that.

Don't download software to do it, there's no need.

Don't waste money on software. Just press PrtScn and then ctrl. C in Paint and crop it the way you like and save as a jpeg. Easy as that.

A good one and a very popular one is SnagIt by TechSmith. They are the same company that sells Camtasia which a lot of people use to make online instructional computer videos. :D

Pressing PrtScn or Print Screen on your keyboard takes a picture of your current screen and copies it to your clipboard. Just open a picture editor and paste it to a new image. Crop if needed.

    Print Screen
Print= from the old days of programming

This is a good site for automated website screenshots

    websnapr dot com

they provide the code to place on your site in order to generate thumbnails of specific websites.

It is automated and fairly quick.

    and its free.

I think the software will give you a more professional look, helpful if your selling something but otherwise I use prt scr and paintshop.

you can of course use the "Prt Scr" button for free but in case you need more advanced features try SnagIt. I love its scrolling capture!
