Hey all, I know lots of people here are into celebrity sites, with adsense and I need to know what kind of clicks do you usually get? The celebrity is a popular male actor, with overture 119,004 for his name, but I see no ads when I search for him in google. There are also 762,000 results in google for his name with "" Do you think the ads on a fan site would pay at least $0.10 per click? thanks ~MG
My celeb site seems to get clicks of value around $0.01 - $0.05 mostly, with the odd $0.10 - $0.15 click but mostly the lower end around a few cents.
I have many American fan sites for popular models or actors, most of these sites are around 5%-8% CTR most sites get high traffic but yes clicks pay low. mostly 2cents-5cents range you might get a few for 20 cents if your lucky some days. but with volume in traffic comes higher earnings, so in the end it is worth it.

In past i have experience very low cpc for celebrity sites. Low than $0.05 on average on most sites. But some sites got better cpc. nearly 3 times than above.
Popular celeb in and out of news etc. The ads google shows are mainly for videos, wallpapers and pictures sites of the same or similar celeb and some ebay ads for items relating to the celeb. Also tried Chitika ads for celebs but difficult to get relevant ads, can get some poster, wallpaper ads etc. but they very rarely got clicked although when they did they were about double the price of adsense clicks.
Adsense doesn't have much inventory for celebrities; most of the ads are not directly relevant to your celeb. Not only the click value is low, the CTR is not high in most cases. One exception is perhaps for singers; you might see some CDs and ringtones ads for them, but then the click value is still pretty low. You might have better luck selling related products like CDs, DVDs and wallpapers than monetizing with Adsense.
Celeb sites get heaps of traffic but are hard to monetize as adsense clicks are low and typically a very low CTR as well.
Celeb sites are not good with adsense... very low cpc I've tried selling affiliate products as well with no luck. I would say, stay away from it unless you're a real celeb junkie and really enjoy reading/writing about that stuff.

Since its a male actor, your readers are likely to be teen/females. You can try affiliate programs related to magazine subscriptions i.e. seventeen magazine, cosmo, etc. I'm sure CJ has such affiliates.
usually for some of these celebrity style sites have, ads show can be of the following wallpaper sites, celebrity news sites, myspace resource sites, screen savers sites, and because the celbs I deal with are pretty popular ie: in the news a few times a week people even serve ads relating directly to the celb.
I have several celebrity sites and my average click value is around 15 cents. I've got clicks valued more than a buck several times on celebrity sites.
I tried this and it didnt work to well, teens are not really inclined to buy magazines after around 300k impressions I served the magazines subscriptions I only made liek $1.20 adsense does work well fro celb sites. Also video affiliates like NABBR and others can work well with this niche but you usually need huge traffic to even join these affiliates. Also VCM cpm ads work well..even throw on paypopups if you have low CTR... usually young teens are a niche who click more, tech savy people click alot less. good luck
