    I have 2 long text files that are almost identical. However, I know that there are differences between the 2 files which I need identified. Instead of reading line by line (a few hundred lines), is there are tool to compare the 2 files and report the exceptions?

    Use it quite often myself and has a generous trial before purchasing. Will display two files, line by line next to each other and highlight differences. Also allows you to copy from one side to the other.
