If you don't mind, which directories bring you the most traffic?

Off the top of my head, I don't think any of my sites even get 70 visits/month from any directory...

 

blogcatalog , blogshowoff ,technorati , buzzerhut,globeofblogs etc are some which gave most of traffic .

ps: small search engines (with local search like guruji.com etc )/classifieds also contribute 2% traffic

 

im glad that you have given me those importent tips. i love learning and love listening to more experienced guys coz thats the greatest way to get familier with a prooven successful way. currently im trying to figure how many posts i can do a single day. i know its impossible to write 100 posts a day. id rather start with a reasonable number. i guess 4-5 posts per day would be enough as a start up. but im confused about the perfect niche. do you have tips on how to figure a good niche? examples would be appreciated.

it depends on you .. which niche you like .. for which niche you have knowledge .. but if you just concentrate on money making then finance(loan, realestate) is niche which pay maximum

 

i'm confused... you get 800 visits a month? or the 800 is just from directories?

if you're making $2000 per month you must be getting a ton of traffic from other places then... how many hits do you get per day?

 

100 article a day.. no possible to write.. i mean it is possible but not by one person, and if you are paying people to write for you then $2K would be less for the month.. anyways you are doing a great job.. just keep submitting your blogs to directories and you will double you income in a few months.

By the way when your website itself does not have any traffic how can it generate traffic for your blogs?

In that case the $2000/mo would not be enough.

But let me think, 100 articles a day, for 10 days thats 1000 articles and for whole month is more or less 30000 articles, after 6 months i believe he would have covered ALL the topics...what next to write? Just teasing anyway.

3,000 articles a month for $2,000. I don't care how many words they are, that's way too damn much work.

 

alexa rank /page rank is not index for traffic .. we have 2000+ pages listed in search engine and we are getting almost 100 listings per week from search engine .. we get good rank for some keywords in search engine due to which our directory getting good traffic ...however pagerank/alexa rank will be updated later ... as our domain is fairly new ...but traffic is from search engine and huge number of blogs who added our link

 

and writing 3000 articles is not big thing.. all you need to do is keep good watch on new website and update news as it appears on news site .

 

Alexa and PageRank are by two separate companies.

Whatever one of these does, has no effect on the other.

Alexa rank is a partial indicator of traffic if you have none, Alexa will say so, that is for sure.

Please give an example of some keywords you rank well for...that should be interesting

 

One of the good idea is to start a blog which covers soem tutorials.
SEO for online tutorials are too much and tutorials could cover lots of Key words.
Tutorials can be related to Adobe Products, C/C++ and etc...

that's really a big deal of work. you deserve that amount of money as a reward. I will try my best too doing that. but i'm sure it's not easy and so much time consuming
