Locking Word documents.

    How do you lock a Word document so that no one can edit it?

    Not sure if there is a way in word itself, but couldn't you just make the file 'read only' ?

    That is quite easy,tool>option>security>,then give your password there.

    Sorry, I meant WordPad. I know how to lick it in Word but just wondering if it could be locked in WordPad.
