Anybody think theres money to be made in blogs/websites with humor content? Maybe just entertainment in general?

 

There is/was a DP member that started up a humor blog a year or so ago.. it got real popular real fast, and she ended up selling it for a good chunk of $$..

 

If it is a niche site sure, why not? How many humor blogs do you really see? If not always fresh content. Be sure to include comic strips, political humor et cetera in the blog posts that you saw for the day and that you liked to keep it fresh with new content.

 

If the blog has good number of visitors with a content that attracts visitors attraction, certainly it can generate sufficient revenues.

 

I've actually been looking for humour blogs, does anyone have the link to any?

 

I still think there is, people are addicted to celebrity and entertainment gossip and funny stuff.

1) www.allweirdthings.com
2) www.bannedstuff.net

Both the sites get descent traffic and earns good money from Adsense

 

Can I ask how you promote them?

 

I just started a humor blog. It's about 2 weeks old and have been averaging about 100-150 uv's a day so far.

 

I find it hard to focus totally on humor. I prefer to have a blog where I occasionally add elements of humor. Like todays Fishing Guy Outtakes post ;D

 

IMO, if humor is combined with health, it can extend reach and can open more avenues.

 

Humor blogs will always be popular! If you are passionate about it.. Go for it.
